Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I have been sitting, searching my brain with what I should focus on as the theme for our Mother’s Day mini sessions this year. As I sit here looking at my two beautiful girls laughing together, I realise that it’s the little things that count the most.

Moments shared between our children, especially the little ones, are pieces of life that we cherish forever. This Mother’s day I want to celebrate these times and really capture the beautiful moments between a mother and her children. As a mum and a photographer I know the importance of capturing these special moments, as I am behind the camera 95% of the time. The pictures that I have with my girls are so special and not once have I regretted getting these photos taken. They motivate me to get as many photos as I can with my girls because I am constantly reminded of how fast life is moving and with my eldest starting high school this year I can’t believe how quickly we got here.

I first started our yearly tradition of Mother’s Day mini sessions over 14 years ago, and I still have families who were there in the beginning come back with their not not so little babies now. Each mum has said how special it is that they get to have these pictures taken every year for Mother’s Day, as they live such busy lives now that they don’t have time to capture these moments with their children themselves.

This Mother’s Day we are celebrating the little things in life, the little giggles we share with our children, the jokes or sounds that make them light up with laughter, the little nose touches and precious kisses and cuddles we are gifted, while our babies are little enough to still want them – because trust me when they are teenagers it is a whole different story!

Regardless of if you would like to book in a session or not, I would like to wish all of the beautiful Mumma’s out there a very Happy Mother’s Day and encourage you to pay attention to these little moments with your babies and to capture every moment you can.

With love,

Marie xx
