Baby Hand and Feet Imprints are a stunning addition to any modern nursery or to display with pride on the family wall. They also make the perfect baby shower gift or for doting grandparents! We strongly recommend making an appointment before your little one is 6 weeks old as they are still classified as a newborn baby. Newborns generally have tiny feet and hands with defined wrinkles in their palm and on the base of their feet. As they get older these lines tend to fade which is why we always suggest coming in as early as possible. However, if you have left it a bit late no need to worry as our baby hand and feet imprints can be done at any age and the results are always beautiful.
FAQ's of NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY
When is the best time for newborn photography in Sydney or Brisbane?
We recommend anytime between two to six weeks for a newborn photography session. If you would like tiny newborn photos, we recommend coming in when your baby has reached two weeks. You can come in before or after this recommendation, whatever time/age suits the family best.
What should I bring for my baby to wear to a newborn photoshoot?
Bring a few different options for your baby. On the day, one of our photographers in our Sydney or Brisbane studio will help you to select the option they think will photograph best. We are very natural with our photography and utilise soft blankets in our images. In most sessions, your baby will be in a nappy covered by a blanket, either chosen by you or our photographers.
Can I be in the photos?
Yes definitely! We encourage all of our families to jump into the images as well. In your session, you have the opportunity to get a variety of different shots. Your Photographer will talk with you before the session to get an idea of the images you hopephotographer will talk with you before the session to get an idea of the images you hope to capture during to capture in your session.
Do you have any props?
We do not have props in our studio, just a collection of blankets and nappy covers for our sessions at our Sydney and Brisbane studios. Families are more than welcome to bring in their own props for their sessions.
How long is a typical newborn photoshoot?
A newborn session is scheduled as a sixty-minute photography session. We do understand that sometimes your baby needs to stop for a feed, a nappy change, or just needs a break. We are very understanding, and you will get the full sixty-minute session regardless of how long it takes.
Do I need to reschedule my newborn photoshoot if my baby has a rash?
There is no need to reschedule; retouching is applied to all chosen photographs. Before we get your images into production, we will ask you for any retouching requests, and any marks or rashes will be removed in the retouching process.
How many people can join a newborn photography session?
We can accommodate as many people as you like in your session (pets included!). We do ask that you give all family details at the time of booking so that we can ensure our Sydney and Brisbane studios are set up and ready to accommodate everyone in your session.
Do you offer newborn photography at home in Sydney or Brisbane?
Yes, we do offer home sessions and can travel to you. A travel fee is associated with these bookings, depending on the distance from our Sydney or Brisbane studio.
What digital packages do you have?
We have a variety of High-Resolution image options. Send through an enquiry for either our Sydney or Brisbane studios, and we can send you over a copy!
How flexible is your booking for newborn photography in Sydney or Brisbane?
Regarding changing or canceling a booking, we understand that situations arise, or bub comes early or a little bit late, and we tocan move your booking to accommodate this. Please let us know as early as possible so that we can ensure we have your next preferred date available.
How long will it take to get my images/products?
As our products contain handmade elements, we leave a four-to-six-week period to produce your orders. We can rush different parts of your order if you have a particular date you need your gorgeous products by; this is all discussed after your session.
